State Requirements for Becoming a Certified Public Accountant

Mount Mary’s accounting major prepares you to sit for the certified public accountant (CPA) exam. Professional recognition through certification or licensure provides a distinct advantage in the job market. Mount Mary College requires a minimum of 128 credits for a bachelor’s degree. The Accounting Examining Board of the State of Wisconsin requires 150 college credit hours to take the CPA exam. These additional credits can be obtained through various undergraduate course offerings at Mount Mary College, or pursuing a Mount Mary College MBA.

Contact the Division Chairperson for further information.
