After leaving MMU before graduating in the 1980s, Kathy returned a decade later at a very different stage in her life: as a mother of one daughter expecting another.
Still, thanks to a supportive employer and a welcoming University environment, she knew she could get the quality business education she sought. Today, she’s applying the degree she earned in 2000, and the diverse experience she gained in the process, as a vice president of sales with U.S. Cellular, a role in which she directs some 1,700 company associates across her region.
As a leader, Kathy also continues to uphold the spirit of volunteerism that was such an important element of her time at MMU. She gives back as a member of several nonprofit boards, including those of Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce, Better Business Bureau of Chicago and Northern Illinois, the Zoological Society of Milwaukee and the board of trustees of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee.
