Creating a Safe Campus
Mount Mary University is proud of its campus and the safe environment it provides for students, faculty and staff. The university is part of a larger metropolitan area and your safety is important. Keeping the campus safe is both an individual and community concern.
Mount Mary’s campus community has a low crime rate. Public safety officers certified in CPR and the use of the AED patrol campus 24/7. These officers have the authority to protect the Mount Mary community by enforcing campus regulations. Officers can assist you during emergencies or with security concerns.
In the event of an emergency, Mount Mary will provide alert updates via mtmary.edu/alert and social media if necessary.
Safety is everyone’s responsibility.

Firearms and other dangerous weapons are not permitted on campus, nor is there an authorized storage space for them. Weapons are not allowed in any university building.
Residence Hall Security
Only residents and their registered guests are allowed access to residence hall floors in Caroline Hall. Mount Mary also has public safety officers stationed in the residence hall lobby in the overnight hours.
Security & Safety Reports
The Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act requires universities to publish an annual report of crime statistics, provide campus safety alerts and maintain a daily crime log that contains any report crimes on campus. New: Lost & Found
The Public Safety Office now has the Lost and Found. We will retain all lost/found items for a period of 60 days before disposing of these items or 20 days past the last day of the semester, whichever is first. If you have lost or found an items, please contact the Public Safety Office either in person or by calling the switchboard (414-258-4810 X421) or the Public Safety Office directly (414-807-9560).
If you have lost an item, please contact Public Safety with a description of the item. We will inform you if the item is currently listed on our inventory.
