Campus Ministry
At Mount Mary College we've got the dynamic campus life you’re looking for. Mount Mary students jump in with both feet, take risks, try new things, and in the process often grow in unexpected ways. Mount Mary’s strong Campus Ministry program is just one way you can get involved in campus life.
Campus Ministry offerings include liturgies, ecumenical prayer experiences, retreat offerings like our Busy Persons Retreat, and special speakers or events. Check out our campus activities calendar.
Campus Ministry works in light of the School Sisters of Notre Dame (SSND) mission of promoting “unity in the midst of diversity” through attitude and action. We are rooted in connection to the charism of the SSND. People of all faith traditions are welcome!
Campus Ministry strives to help students find the “holy” in themselves by providing resources and opportunities for a developing spiritual sense of life. The Campus Ministry area has a comfortable space to sit and relax and the Campus Ministry library has various books on spirituality, personal study, justice, and faith. Campus Ministry is located on the lower level of Notre Dame Hall, Rooms 39 & 43.
Christ King Chapel in Notre Dame Hall, Room 39 is open 7 days a week and 24 hours each day for individual or group prayer and reflection.
For students seeking Individual sessions, the Campus Minister is available to help with spiritual or life issues.

Peers and Volunteers Service Connections: Offerings include activities such as collecting clothing for a women’s abuse shelter or bringing lunch and playing bingo at a day homeless shelter.
Major events: Mississippi Mission for Spring Break, as well as developing Habitat for Humanity trips or Mexico border experiences.
Student leadership and community development is encouraged by helping students take ownership for the programming choices and promoting campus involvement.
Peers and Volunteers Campus Connections: Offerings include a campus ministry social called Wild Waffle Wednesday as well as providing inspiration quotes for bulletin boards. Student leaders help plan our prayer offerings during the year as well as cooperative planning for the mission trips.
