Student Research
Our student-centered learning experiences prepare chemistry majors to conduct their own undergraduate research projects. To meet this goal, the chemistry program incorporates undergraduate research into upper level courses.
While all students engage in research projects associated with upper level courses, students majoring in chemistry are encouraged to acquire some additional research experience. At Mount Mary, students may work with a faculty member to design a course in research or independent study to meet the interests of the student. In addition, some students choose to engage in one of the research opportunities offered through summer programs at other institutions.
