Head Coach

Eugene Miranda has built quite a Cross Country program at Mount Mary College, entering his sixth year as head coach. In what started out as just one or two competing in competitions, Miranda now has full squads consistently setting school records.

Miranda earned his undergraduate degree in Physical Education, specializing in exercise physiology and physical therapy. After several years of working in clinical settings and in health and fitness, Miranda is now a full-time instructor of Anatomy & Physiology at Waukesha County Technical College in Waukesha, Wis.

An avid runner as a youngster, Miranda competed in track and cross-country in high school and in the U.S. Army. Hired as a physical training instructor in the Army, he coached his brigade's cross-country and track squads. After leaving the military, Miranda coached high school cross-country and track for two years before enrolling in college.

Miranda lives with his wife and two children in Brookfield, Wis. In his spare time Miranda participates in activities like yoga, cycling, coaching marathoners, and playing the bag pipe.
