The mission of the Graduate Program in Dietetics is to strengthen
the academic background and critical thinking skills of dietitians so
that these men and women may excel as practitioners.
Through successful completion of the graduate program in dietetics the
learner will be able to:
- Understand the social, cultural, political and economic systems in relation
to health care and as they impact on relevant issues in dietetics.
- Demonstrate specialized knowledge and skills in selected areas of nutritional
science and professional practice.
- Use guided research and professional writing skills to demonstrate the
application of specialized knowledge to dietetic practice.
