Mount Mary's Dietetic Internship is unique in that intern rotations are arranged based on areas of interest and career goals. Interns are placed at one primary facility during community and management rotations, one site during clinical rotations, and one or two sites during elective rotations. Additional brief experiences are scheduled to assure exposure to a variety of practice areas such as pediatrics, home nutrition services and others.
All facilities are not used each year and new facilities are occasionally added based on student interest and geographic location. Sites range from a few minutes to an hour’s drive from campus.
