Environmental Studies Minor Requirements
- Courses – 18 credits
- Required science courses
- BIO 220em Contemporary Environmental Issues (2 credits)
- BIO/CHE/SCI 216em Environmental Science (4 credits)
- SCI 316 Environmental Studies Seminar(2 credits)
- Required non-science Environmental Studies designated courses
- One course related to communications and values (minimum
2 credits), e.g., theology, philosophy, English, communication
- One course related to society (minimum of 2 credits), e.g.,
political science, history, behavioral science
- Elective Environmental Studies designated courses to complete
18 credits
- Internship – non-credit
- Pre-approved
- Completed before or concurrently with SCI 316
- Portfolio
- One assignment that measures the environmental course objective(s)
from each course in the minor
- A grade of C or better on each portfolio assignment
- Portfolio assignment delivered to Dr. Colleen Conway by the end
of the semester (Responsibility for submitting assignments in a
portfolio compatible format lies with the student.)
- Overall GPA of 2.0 or higher
- Formal application and acceptance into the minor
