Build on Your Associate Degree
Women holding associate degrees usually enter Mount Mary College with a maximum of 64 credits earned in a technical field, leaving 64 credits necessary to complete the liberal studies major and earn a bachelor’s degree. Besides these course requirements, students will also complete a concentration in an area they are interested in and that matches their career goals. Some of the concentrations include:
- mathematics
- composition/writing
- philosophy
- theology
- biology
- literature
- fine arts
- history
- behavioral science-anthropology, sociology, psychology
Engaging Synthesis Course
The culminating experience in the liberal studies program is a capstone
course. This seminar/independent project provides an opportunity
to integrate the skills and knowledge acquired through the associate
degree with those acquired at Mount Mary College. The course is
usually scheduled for the semester prior to graduation.
