Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Dietetics
Mount Mary University offers a post-baccalaureate certificate in dietetics to women and men who have already completed a bachelor's degree. It is, in fact, the only way men can prepare themselves for the RD exam at Mount Mary. The first degree does not have to be in a related field.
Students who earn a certificate in dietetics are eligible to sit for the Registration Exam for Dietitians. We have found that students who earn a certificate in dietetics find employment in the field as readily as those who earn a degree in dietetics.
To earn a certificate in dietetics you must fulfill all the prerequisite courses for the Coordinated Program in Dietetics, apply for admission to the program, and once accepted complete all courses in the Coordinated Program. Core course requirements do not need to be completed since you have already earned a bachelors’ degree. For details about prerequisite courses and application procedures please consult the Undergraduate Bulletin (PDF) and Curriculum Guide list.
