Private and Group Lessons at Mount Mary College
Mount Mary College offers a variety of group and private lessons to fit your dreams of exploring your musical talent. Our instructors are patient and knowledgeable and will guide your music development from novice to advanced studies. With instruction and practice, you will quickly expand your understanding of instrumental or vocal technique and performance. No prior experience is necessary to enroll. Lessons are part of the regular course offerings at Mount Mary College.
Group Lessons
Group lessons in guitar or piano introduce basic skills and focus on fundamentals of technique, reading and expression and are ideal for novice player with limited to no prior music study. Group lessons may be taken in partial fulfilment of fine arts core requirements. All are 2-credit courses.
Guitar (MUS 205) - Mondays, 2:30 p.m. - 4:20 p.m.
Piano (MUS 101 and 102) -
- Section 001 - Monday/Wednesday, 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.
- Section 002 - Friday, 10:00 a.m. - 11:40 a.m.
Private Lessons
Private lessons are offered for a wide variety of instruments and voice. Private lessons are held weekly as 1/2 hour (1 credit) or 1 hour (2 credits) sessions. Private lessons do not qualify for fine-arts core credits. Students must register via My Mount Mary and then schedule class time directly with individual instructors. Students who choose this option will be charged an additional $150 private lesson fee.
