Pottery with Personality - 2010 Featured Artist Jessie Schroeder Voss

Based in Big Bend, WI, Voss’s artwork has been featured nationally on The Rachel Ray Show, Fine Living Magazine, and on the Food Network’s ‘Emeril Live’ show. Her new Organic Celadon with Stripes Collection for 2010 features handmade platters, dishes, vases, bowls and mugs created with flair and original design. Using high quality white stoneware clay, her pieces are durable and meant to last – they are perfect for building a collection and creating personal family heirlooms. Glazes pop on the smooth white undertone as whimsical designs catch the eye at every angle. The College would love to see your work in our jury pool for the 2011 Show. Applications for next year's show will be available in January. To be placed on the mailing list to receive the application, please email the Mount Mary College Alumnae Office and provide your name, media, (e.g. drawing, enameling, fibers/leather, glass, photography, pottery, sculpture, jewelry or graphics) phone number, and mailing address.

Fees -
The fees for 2011 are still to be determined. The costs for 2010 were $20 for the application and jury process and $120 for the accepted artists' booth.

Volunteer Information

The Starving Artists' Show is only successful because of its over 300 volunteers made up of alumnae, Mount Mary students, and their families.

To volunteer for the show, please contact the Alumnae Office via email or phone (414) 256-1254.

This week, volunteers should look for a postcard mailing from Mount Mary College with details regarding their role(s) on Sunday, September 12.

Proceeds from the show

The Starving Artists' Show® is sponsored by the Mount Mary College Alumnae Association. All proceeds benefit the College. Close to one million dollars in donations have been made to the College from the profits from the Show.
