I studied interior design at Mount Mary University. During my time there I grew as both an artist and designer. Through experiences learning under professionals, I found my passion for the field of Interior Design gets stronger. In the future, I imagine myself working in both residential and commercial. Also, I imagine myself working and constantly learning, improving my knowledge to recreate myself and my designs. Because the design field requires continuing education and a lot of research. I think my job is to lead my clients to their goals and vision. And I must change what they “see” and turn it into a creative built environment.
My design philosophy focuses on creating designs for people that belong to them, making them feel comfortable in the space. My priority is always to have my designs serve a function and to be sustainable. I want to create new designs that show my personality and my ideas. I really believe in this phrase by Ludwig Mies Van Der Rohe “less is more”. I believe that comfortable spaces contain only the necessary objects that designed in a creative way.
