The mission of the Master of Business Administration (MBA) program is to prepare students to become effective, responsible, and ethical business leaders capable of making a meaningful impact in today’s dynamic and globally interconnected business environment. The program emphasizes the development of advanced knowledge, analytical skills, and strategic decision-making tools necessary to address complex, real-world organizational challenges. Attention is given to ethical leadership, responsible use of technology and artificial intelligence, and data-informed management practices. Students are prepared to navigate diverse cultural contexts, lead innovation, and uphold integrity and accountability within an increasingly technology-driven and globally complex business landscape.

Upon completion of an MBA degree, a student should:

  1. Use and adapt leadership strategies to evaluate, motivate oneself and others, and facilitate collaboration in teams.
  2. Target effective and appropriate messages to different audiences, including peers, stakeholders, decisionmakers, and external business partners.
  3. Create strategies and identify policies and processes that use technology for innovative business opportunities, solutions to problems, and effective marketing.
  4. Develop business strategies that adapt to global environments and evaluate their impact on cultural values, legal and ethical issues, and diversity and inclusion.
  5. Demonstrate critical thinking in the data-driven decision-making process by researching and assessing data for credibility and usefulness, using appropriate quantitative analyses, solving problems, and analyzing consequences resulting from decisions.
  6. Drive business innovation, efficiency, and ethical decision-making by leveraging an understanding of AI and other technologies.

Artificial Intelligence
AI is a diverse field with impact across almost every industry. While those who code and develop AI models obviously play a huge role, it is equally important to have leaders who can ethically select, scope, manage, and maintain AI projects, identify opportunities for AI in various sectors, and take on the herculean task of keeping updated on this field which is literally changing by the day.

Cybersecurity
Students will learn to think big-picture about cyber management and strategy to protect their organizations from the most pressing threats and cybercrimes. This specialization focuses on oversight, governance, and risk analysis.

Healthcare Administration
Students do not need to have a background in healthcare or healthcare administration as this specialization is accessible, engaging, and relevant. Practical case studies and hands-on assignments will prepare you for the full variety of healthcare administration jobs in a high-growth field.

Business Analytics
Develop literacy around 'hard' analytical tools like those used for data querying, visualization, and modeling. Analytics is needed in nearly all size organizations, creating high job growth and opportunities for increased earning potential.

Finance
Leverage your passion about financial markets, investments, and corporate finance. This program suits those aiming for eventual leadership roles in finance, such as Chief Financial Officers (CFOs), investment bankers, financial analysts, or portfolio managers. It's also beneficial for entrepreneurs who need a solid understanding of finance to manage their businesses effectively, and for professionals seeking to transition into finance from other industries.

To be eligible for admission to the MBA program, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Have earned a minimum undergraduate grade point average (GPA) of 2.75 on a 4-point scale. Students with strong supporting materials may be admitted on a probationary status with a GPA below 2.75; see General Information Section of admission categories and requirements.
  • Provide a personal statement of educational and professional goals for pursuing the MBA (maximum of 250 words).
  • Provide two letters of recommendation from professionals and/or professors able to comment on abilities and commitment, preferably one from the current employer.

Students must have completed undergraduate coursework in financial accounting prior to enrolling in BUS 640 Accounting Analysis and Control. If they have not, they may complete a four-week foundational preparatory module to ensure they are adequately prepared for the course.

A course or experience in spreadsheets and the basics of data analysis and visualization concepts (using tools like Excel or Google Sheets) is strongly recommended.

Our reputable MBA is offered at an affordable, competitive cost. The per credit tuition rate for the 2026-2027 academic year is $650. Students are eligible to apply for scholarships, graduate assistantships, and loans to help meet the cost of their MBA.
