Tuition for regular, full-time students includes academic instruction, lectures, laboratories, and student and academic support services. It also includes subscriptions to college publications and membership in the student government
Scholarships
Mount Mary University provides a variety of scholarships to make college more affordable. Merit based scholarships are awarded based on high school performance, with or without standardized test scores. In addition, Mount Mary has scholarships for incoming first-year undergraduates that may cover full or partial tuition, including special awards tied to academic achievement and some programs.
Beyond first-year awards, Mount Mary offers supplemental scholarships for students such as transfers, legacy students, and those in certain majors. Graduate and adult learners are eligible for tuition discounts and opportunities like assistantships, and students are encouraged to explore external scholarships through high school counselors or free online search platforms. In addition to merit scholarships for full time undergraduate students at Mount Mary University, some students qualify for other grants. A grant is a form of gift aid that you do not need to repay as long as you complete the term for which it was given.
Grants can come from the federal and/or state governments or Mount Mary University and are based on FAFSA information and other eligibility requirements. Amounts of grants are subject to change each year, depending upon availability of funds and eligibility.
To apply for grants, you must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and demonstrate need (as determined by the FAFSA). Don't forget our school code - 003869. Other federal and/or state requirements may apply.
Loans
A student loan allows you to borrow money from the federal government or other funding source to help pay for college. Loans may cover education costs not covered by scholarships, grants, student employment and savings. You must repay your student loans with interest after you leave college or complete your degree.
To qualify for a student loan, you must:
- Be enrolled at least half-time to qualify for any loans
- File the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to determine your eligibility for federal loans
