Our Purpose

Mount Mary University is a diverse and inclusive learning community that educates students to transform themselves and the world.

We are an urban Catholic university for women, sponsored by the School Sisters of Notre Dame (SSND), that provides an environment for the development of the whole person. We encourage leadership, integrity, and a deep sense of social justice arising from a sensitivity to moral values and Christian principles

"I liked Mount Mary’s small campus community that was close to home— and that it’s an all women university. I knew I wanted a more intimate learning experience in a place where I knew I would be safe and comfortable—a place where I could thrive personally and academically.
