What is Direct Admission?

Direct Admission is a process by which admission decisions are made without students applying, based on available information at the completion of the junior year such as class rank and cumulative grade point average (GPA).

Who is eligible?

Mount Mary is working with an initial group of partner high schools and offering Direct Admissions to women entering their senior year (2025 graduates) who possess a 3.0 GPA or are in the top 15% of their class.

What are the steps to Direct Admission for the partner schools and students?

  1. Partner high school will identify senior women who meet the eligibility requirement.
  2. Students receive a Direct Admission letter from Mount Mary University inviting them to accept or decline the offer. The letter will list a link to an online Direct Admission Acceptance Form to accept or decline the offer.
  3. Students accepting the offer will be asked for a few additional pieces of information including major of interest, housing plans, email and phone number. An Admission Counselor from Mount Mary will contact the student and begin working to assist them in scheduling a campus visit, filing the 2025 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and helping them through the enrollment process.
  4. Students accepting the offer will need to request that their school send their high school transcript to Mount Mary University by November 30, 2024.
