Jordan Green
About
Jordan Green is an Interior Design major with a Communication minor. She understands the major impact that both of these fields have on people and weaves them deeply into all of her projects. Although Jordan is not from Wisconsin, she understands the importance of a project's location and uses her unique background to design creative solutions. Throughout her time at Mount Mary University, Jordan has had a variety of leadership roles. As a sophomore Jordan was the ASID Wisconsin's Student Representative
to the Board and she also received an ASID WI Presidential Citation. During her Junior and Senior year, she helped reinvigorate and lead the Mount Mary University Student Chapter. Jordan's career goal is to be able to utilize her interior design and communication knowledge to create spaces that are safe and can positively impact others.
Statement
“My personal design philosophy is for my designs to support and assist those who can't necessarily help themselves and to create spaces that have a positive and healthy impact on their end-users” Spaces are similar to people in that they are unique and every space should should be treated differently. My communication minor has shown me that spaces communicate to people and as interior designers we have the ability to control what the story is. This knowledge is illustrated throughout my capstone project, Hope’s Haven, which is an autistic living facility.
