New Board Members
Mount Mary University Welcomes New Board of Trustees
MILWAUKEE (July 26, 2013) – Mount Mary University has elected three new members to its Board of Trustees. Board members each serve a three-year term. The new members are:
Erickajoy Daniels, of Milwaukee, WI is the head of Global Talent Management at Brady Corporation. Daniels is co-founder and Vice President of Brady’s Women’s Leadership Alliance and has leadership responsibilities for Brady Corporation Foundation. She serves on the Board of Directors for Betty Brinn Children’s Museum, actively volunteers for the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Milwaukee and leads mentoring at the Mother Kathryn Daniels Center. She also serves as Chair Secretary of the Milwaukee Chapter of Links, Inc.
Tchernavia Rocker, of Milwaukee, WI is the General Manager of Employee Relations and Workplace Environment for Harley-Davidson Motor Company. Previously she worked in various HR roles within Goodyear Dunlop North America Tire Inc. She has served as a member of the Board of Directors of several non-profits including Progressive Community Health Centers, the Crispus Attucks Center, and the South George Street Community Partnership. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Next Door Foundation in Milwaukee, WI. She is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management and the National Black MBA Association.
Joan M. Shafer, of Pewaukee, WI is the Senior Vice President, Customer Services for WE Energies. She is a member of the Edison Electric Institute’s retail executive advisory and customer service committees, and serves on the Boards of Directors of First Stage and the Women’s Leadership Council of the United Way of Greater Milwaukee. She is the past president and current ex-officio member of the board of trustees for the Milwaukee Montessori School and is past chair of the board of directors for the Girl Scouts of Wisconsin Southeast. She is also a past member of the United Way of Waukesha’s board of directors and served as the vice chair for the 2011 annual campaign. In 2012, she was co-awarded the United Way of Waukesha County Outstanding Volunteer of the Year.
