Pamela Owens Joins MMU as Vice President of Development

table_presidents-council_owens.pamela.jpgMILWAUKEE (September 22, 2014) - Pamela Owens has joined Mount Mary University as Vice President of Development. Owens, who has nearly 20 years of experience in development with faith-based and higher education organizations, will oversee all areas of the university's institutional advancement including development, alumnae, and donor relations.

Owens began her career as Director of Development for Stevens Point Area Catholic Schools where she more than doubled the annual fund drive and retired a capital debt. Later, as VP of Development, she led the largest capital campaign in the organization's history.

Owens also served as Director of Development role with Stevens Point-based Saint Michael's Hospital Foundation where she built the infrastructure for a full-service development division and led another successful capital campaign while tripling the net revenue of a signature event. As the Regional Director of Development with Provena Senior Services, she secured donations for seven facilities in five cities with a major focus on planned gifts. Most recently, Owens served as Vice President of Foundation and Chief Development Officer for Rock Valley College which serves over 8,500 students in Rockford, IL.

Owens has actively served the community through board of director positions with regional chapters for Association for Fundraising Professionals, Planned Giving Council and Girls Scouts. She holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin - Platteville and has achieved the designation of Certified Fundraising Executive since 2008. She resides in Waukesha with her husband.
