Summer Leadership Academy Promotes Career Exploration, Confidence Building
On Sunday, June 23, the annual Summer Leadership Academy kicked off at Mount Mary University. A record-breaking 94 high school girls are participating in this year’s workshop, held June 23-27, 2024.
The program includes sessions focused on leadership development, confidence building and college preparedness, as well as career exploration programming in creative arts, design, humanities, business and STEM.
Additional highlights include finding the right college fit, the importance of sisterhood, navigating financial aid and networking opportunities with young professionals.
Upon completion of the program, participants are awarded two college credits at Mount Mary. Participants leave the workshop with an increased sense of confidence, multicultural awareness and lasting friendships.
