Milwaukee has grown so much since I moved here in 2002. Music, art, and all kinds of fun activities are now right at your fingertips. Here are some of my favorite places to explore around the city. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!

summerfest

Summerfest – The world’s largest music festival will take place over three consecutive weekends this year (Thursday-Saturday) Noon to Midnight, September 2-4, 9-11, and 16-18, 2021. For ticket prices, lineup and other event info, visit www.summerfest.com

Oriental Theatre – The Oriental Theatre has been a staple of Milwaukee’s East Side neighborhood for nearly one hundred years. Step back in time and take in a movie at this lovingly cared-for theater steeped in history and charm. The Oriental Theater is currently closed for renovation but in the meantime, they're offering Sofa Cinema – an exciting virtual option that allows you to view independent film releases from the comfort of home!

mamMilwaukee Art Museum – Where architecture meets art. Located on the shores of Lake Michigan, the Milwaukee Art Museum boasts beauty both inside and out. Stand outside at noon to see this impressive structure flap its “wings.” Various admission discounts and free days make this Milwaukee landmark accessible to all.

Mitchell Park Domes – Where can you find a thriving palm tree in the middle of Milwaukee? The Domes, of course! Take a break from studying and explore thousands of plant species in their natural habitat!
