Certificates
Mount Mary University offers undergraduate, post-baccalaureate and post-master's certificates to help you explore an area of expertise for credit. A credit certificate is awarded at the end of a course of study in an area of specialization to recognize you have gained expertise in that area. Credit certificates typically require between 12 and 24 credits.
A certificate is not a formal degree program such as Bachelor of Arts or Master of Science, but it can be combined with a formal degree to indicate an area of specialization. You must meet the University's admission requirements to enroll in a credit certificate program. Mount Mary certificate programs are open to both women and men.

Mount Mary offers a post-master's certificate in counseling. This certificate is designed for you if you have previously received a master's degree in counseling and seek an additional area of concentration—clinical mental health or school counseling—in which to be licensed. In most cases, a state regulating and licensing board grants specific licenses. In some cases, a national professional organization may award licenses or credentials.
