Global Health Equity
Global Health Equity dual program
Mount Mary University and the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) have teamed up to offer a dual program allowing you to earn two degrees — a bachelor’s and a Master of Science Global Health Equity — in just five years.
This program follows a 4 + 1 format.
Freshman, sophomore and junior year: The student works toward an undergraduate degree at Mount Mary University during her freshman, sophomore and junior years.
Senior year: In her senior year, the student has dual enrollment at Mount Mary University and MCW. In the dual enrollment year, the student completes global health equity core courses that count toward both the undergraduate and graduate degree.
Year 5: After graduating from Mount Mary, the student continues as a graduate student at MCW for approximately one additional year until she completes the Master of Global Health Equity program. The Masters of Science Global Health Equity (GHE) degree offers highly interactive in person and online courses with a focus on individualized mentorship and experiential learning. Students complete an internship with one of the program’s local or global partners where they complete a faculty-mentored global health project that addresses health inequities. The Memorial Fund of Dr. Rachel Thompson generously provides funding support for student's internships.
The program has exceptional faculty with both practice and research experience and is a proud member of the Consortium of Universities for Global Health.
