The Purpose of the AI Literacy Program
In today’s AI-driven world, the AI Literacy program provides students across all fields and disciplines with the foundational skills and knowledge to effectively use and understand emerging artificial technologies. This program makes AI clear and approachable for everyone, without the need for coding experience. All students should gain a baseline understanding of how to use AI to be better and more efficient in their future careers. ** The AI Literacy program is designed to be combined with a primary major, such as Business, Finance, Digital Marketing, or Cybersecurity.
Course Specifics
This program is designed to enhance understanding and application of AI concepts across various disciplines. Upon graduation, students will have acquired the following skills and capabilities:
Foundational AI Knowledge: Students will gain a solid understanding of key AI concepts, including Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Machine Learning, and ethical considerations in AI use.
AI for Everyone: Decision-Making with AI: Students will learn to leverage ML and LLM tools
for informed decision-making, including customizing tools and refining prompting techniques to enhance outcomes.
AI for Decision-Making: Creativity and Design with AI: Students will develop the ability to set goals and create prompts for AI to achieve artistic or project-specific objectives, and apply ethical considerations in creative AI use.
AI for Creativity and Design: Ethical and Responsible AI Use: Students will understand and apply ethical frameworks and privacy considerations in defining AI use cases, ensuring responsible deployment of AI technologies.
This program includes online courses as part of the curriculum through our partnership with Rize Education. These offer students cutting-edge curriculum, greater scheduling flexibility, access to nationwide experts in the field, and access to even more resume-ready skills.
