The psychology curriculum develops your skills in areas employers look for: communication, critical thinking, problem solving, teamwork and creativity. You’ll study the biological, cognitive and social influences on human behavior and thought. The broad curriculum provides you with a strong foundation for employment or graduate school.
Psychology courses cover topics such as developmental psychology, psychology of emotion, animal behavior, psychology of learning, social psychology, health psychology, sensation and perception, and psychology of personality. Courses are offered in day and evening times for your convenience.
Admission & Bachelor’s Degree Requirements
A Bachelor of Arts in Psychology requires 48-51 credits. You also must complete the university’s core curriculum requirements. Psychology majors are not required to do an internship, but internship, research or independent study opportunities are strongly encouraged.

Psychology Minor Requirements
A minor in psychology will provide you insight into biological and social foundations of thought and behavior, a well as teach you how to apply psychological principles to human interaction and other aspects of everyday life. A psychology minor is an excellent complement to majors in helping professions such as art therapy, justice, occupational therapy, social work and sociology.
