Our pre-professional programs are not specific majors, but the programs ensure you take a challenging and rigorous curriculum that will prepare you to take entrance exams for professional and post-baccalaureate studies. These programs offer specialized advising, help students complete prerequisite courses, and connect them with internships and other activities crucial for admission to advanced degree programs and careers.
Pre-law has no single recommended major, although many students might choose Justice, English, Global Studies or Business. it involves taking a challenging curriculum and developing your reading, writing, speaking, critical thinking and logical thinking skills. Mount Mary’s Pre-Law program provides you access to an advisor who will guide you on your path to applying for law school and becoming a lawyer.
The Pharm.D. Program provides Mount Mary students early assurance admission into the Pharm.D. program at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW). Students earn their undergraduate degree in four years at Mount Mary University and are directly admitted into MCW’s School of Pharmacy.
Upon acceptance, students are matched with a mentor from the Medical College of Wisconsin for ongoing support. Students have the opportunity to participate in MCW events and programming, and will be the first to learn about pharmacy assistant and tech opportunities for earning practical experience.
Mount Mary offers a health sciences curriculum that prepares you for graduate study to become a chiropractor, dentist, doctor, optometrist or veterinarian. Both the Biology and Biochemistry majors offer a health sciences track to prepare you to take the Medical College Admission Test (MCAT), Dental Admission Test (DAT) or Graduate Record Exam (GRE).
