Mount Mary University and the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) have teamed up to offer a dual program allowing you to earn two degrees — a bachelor’s and a Master of Public Health — in just five years.

This program follows a 4 + 1 format.

Freshman, sophomore and junior year: The student works toward an undergraduate degree at Mount Mary University during her freshman, sophomore and junior years.

Senior year: In your senior year, you'll have dual enrollment at Mount Mary University and MCW. In the dual enrollment year, you will complete 15 credits of Public Health core courses that count toward both the undergraduate and graduate degree.

Year 5: After graduating from Mount Mary, you'll continue as a graduate student at MCW for approximately one additional year until you complete the Master of Public Health program. The Master of Public Health (MPH) degree provides a 100% online learning experience and is designed for the working professional. The program has exceptional faculty with both practice and research experience and is accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health.

Mount Mary University students majoring in any discipline may apply for this dual degree program in the spring semester of their junior year. Applications are accepted online through the Medical College of Wisconsin. The application fee and transcript fee are waived for program applicants.


For program consideration, applicants must meet the following requirements: 

  • Successful completion of a minimum of 96 undergraduate credits
  • Cumulative GPA: 3.3
  • Three letters of recommendation from: faculty member or other academic reference; chair of undergraduate student's major program;
    academic affairs administration
  • Personal statement
  • Application to the MPH program by April 1 of junior year
