Welcome to MMU1 - your First Year Experience at Mount Mary University, where your first year is built around connection, confidence, and care. From registration and orientation through your entire first year, MMU1 provides every student with a dedicated Success Coach and designated tutoring to help you thrive academically and personally.

Through our Thrive Sessions, you’ll explore topics that support your whole self: getting healthy through wellness and stress management resources; thriving in the real world by learning time, money, and life skills; thriving emotionally by navigating challenges with resilience; thriving socially by building community and belonging; thriving academically through study strategies and faculty engagement; discovering yourself and others through reflection and identity development; and planning your future by connecting your goals to majors, careers, and purpose. MMU1 prepares you not only for college success but for a meaningful, confident, and connected life beyond your first year.
