Vanessa Diaz '27

Vanessa found the perfect blend of academics and athletics at Mount Mary University. The Kissimmee, Florida native first learned about the university when she was recruited by Blue Angels Athletics coaches during a high school basketball tournament. After touring campus, she knew that Mount Mary was a place where she would thrive. 

Vanessa is an Exercise Science major with a Psychology minor. She hopes to have a professional career as a college athletic trainer or sports therapist, helping others stay safe while remaining physically active. As a student athlete, Vanessa has built close relationships with her teammates, gaining confidence and leadership skills along the way. 

Whether inside the classroom or on the court, Mount Mary provides the support to help Vanessa achieve her dreams. 

“At Mount Mary, I really feel like I belong,” she said. “It’s a small school, but a huge, welcoming community.”
