Pre-MPH (Master of Public Health) Health Communication and Pre-GHE (Master of Global Health Equity) Public health professionals are committed to improving wellness through research, education and advocacy.
Mount Mary University and the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) have teamed up to offer a Pre-MPH and pre-GHE concentration. This dual program lets you earn two degrees—a Bachelor’s and a Master of Public Health—in just five years.
You’ll work toward an undergraduate degree in Communication with the pre-MPH or pre-GHE concentration at Mount Mary during your freshman, sophomore and junior years. During senior year, you’ll have dual enrollment at Mount Mary University and MCW and will complete core courses that count toward both your undergraduate and graduate degrees.
This concentration explores how health and behavior are shaped by communication, information and technology. A health communication specialist helps to improve health communication and promote healthy behaviors through strategic communication initiatives.
Communication skills are essential for career success and are in-demand across all fields. A minor in Communication Studies complements a diverse range of majors—including Business, Digital Marketing, Public Relations and more—and will prepare you for professional success.
Perfect Your Craft Before You Graduate. Internships provide you with practical experience to develop your professional skills and are great ways to start building your network!
As a Communication major, you’ll complete a junior or senior internship that gives you real-world experience and a competitive edge.
