Student Health Insurance
In accordance with federal law, Mount Mary University encourages all domestic students to have personal health insurance; to assist with this, Mount Mary offers students different health insurance plan offerings through our healthcare provider, WPS. In the interest of students’ academic success and personal well-being, Mount Mary University does require the following students to have health insurance coverage:
- international students
- students living in the residence hall
All students listed above must complete the online Health Records Report Form before they begin their first semester; this form can be found on MyMountMary under the Campus Life - Residence Life tab. Note: Individual academic programs may also require students to provide verification of their health insurance information.
Domestic students have the option to enroll in one of two voluntary plan options, a $0 deductible or a high deductible plan. Domestic students will enroll themselves into WPS plans this year by using the enrollment form, which can be found on MyMountMary, under the Campus Life - Health Insurance tab.
A special insurance plan is also available to international students. This plan is a hard-waiver plan, which means that international students will be required to provide Mount Mary with proof of their enrollment in another insurance plan or will be automatically enrolled and billed for this international plan by Mount Mary. International students are asked to complete the form found on MyMountMary, under the Campus Life - Health Insurance tab. If you do not complete this waiver form, stating that you have other health insurance, you will be automatically enrolled and billed for this international health insurance plan.
Questions on student health insurance should be directed to Student Affairs in Caroline Hall 149 or at 414-930-3372.
